So apparently, Brian Wright’s new album “House on Fire” is coming out sometime this month. I’d tell you more details, but I don’t have them. I didn’t exactly get a press release—Brother Sal told me about in a back alley in Hollywood after a considerable amount of whiskey, but honestly, wouldn’t you rather listen to an album you learned about that way rather then from some jackass fake band bio that showed up in your inbox? I would.

I’ve heard some of the songs off the new album live, and they were jaw-dropping, eye-bugging, turn to your friend and say “holy shit, that song was fucking beautiful” good. I’ve never seen a person who can make a Hollywood crowd both dance and cry so easily. Granted, this town can be a pretty manic bunch, but in general this place ain’t big on sincere emotion, but when Brian and the Waco Tragedies play, all bets are off.

Brian’s European tour starts February 17^th in London, and he’ll be overseas until April, which is great for him and all, but it’s kind of pissing me off. I’m not particularly patient.
