The tour date page no longer shows a Wilmington NC show. I know there was a mention of a venue change. Did that get worked out or are we SOL down here on the coast? Last time we saw you guys down here was the show on the parking deck [that ought to give everyone an idea of what great venues we have down here, LOL].

Hey Bryan,

This is just the first leg of the tour. The band doesn’t schedule or route their tours, the ‘man’ does based on biz deals, timing, availability, etc, so they pretty much go where they are told. I feel your pain in Mil, but, I’m sure they are going get to your neck of the woods sometime this year. You guys make PBR, right? Keep your fingers crossed for Summerfest.

Thanks Peter…I certainly don’t mean to come off as a whiney bitch, because that simply wouldn’t be fitting for a DBT fan.

Nonetheless, I appreciate that you can feel my pain.

I know I can catch them in Chicago (probably will in fact…just as I did last tour with Hold Steady at The Riviera), but there’s just something about having them come to your town, you know?

Actually, I’d prefer if they waited until summer and came to Summerfest along Milwaukee’s lakefront. That would be ideal!

Tickets to shows, gas and hotel, plus too many beers there really adds up.

Last February (2009) the band had to (unfortunately) cancel a gig at Turner Hall in Milwaukee, WI due to Patterson’s illness. I know other canceled dates were rescheduled as time allowed, but sadly Milwaukee wasn’t one of the cities that the band made it back to.

Now DBT have released new tour dates for 2010, and they’re going all around Milwaukee (Chicage, Detroit, Cleveland, et. al.) but will skip us entirely this time around?!

I’m not going to lie…this really hurts.

I felt bad for Patterson when he was ill, and I understood when the band could not re-schedule here…but to pass us up again seems a bit cold. There are PLENTY of viable venues in Milwaukee (Turner Hall, Riverside Theater, Pabst Theater, The Rave, Shank Hall).

Just wanted to share my thoughts, in case anyone cares.
